Today has shown us how God's love, as demonstrated through His faithful servants, can transform lives and communities. Our first stop was to the English Faith School set up by Pastor Paul's wife, Anu. She felt God's calling to provide education to the children in the orphanage and others around the area, so she went to college to train to be a teacher. We have had an exciting few days here in Bengaluru already. We arrived in the early hours of Saturday morning and had time to rest before visiting the orphanage. The children are delightful and are cared for with love and grace on a shoestring. I am amazed how God provides for this wonderful work and how happy the children are. Today we started our journey to Bengaluru, India by driving to Heathrow Airport near London. Surprisingly, the traffic was well behaved and we got to the car park with no delays. Once checked in and through Security, we made our to the Departures Lounge to grab some breakfast. This would be the last English meal for the next ten days! After the hearty breakfast we were off to do some last minute shopping before boarding the place. Next stop Bengaluru at 5:15am local time Saturday!
Tomorrow, Lee and I will depart England on a voyage to Bengaluru, India. We will be visiting the Greater Hope Orphanage to see the great work Paul and the team are doing, and to meet the children. I will be posting updates during our journey so that you can follow us each day. Please pray that the travel goes smoothly and we arrive not too tired.
